Re-wrote parts of what was the 'epilogue' to Not The Last (link goes to the Teaspoon) in the light of S4 of DW. Thought I might just as well post it here, in case anyone's curious? No real spoilers for S4 btw. (There will be proper sequels - this is best described as a character study. Or: My Timelord, let me show you him.)

This is one of the alltime great icons! Not *quite* applicable today, but great nonetheless.

For once I'm not actually worried about losing anything, since I backed up my LJ last month (with LJ book). I'd been meaning to do it for ages, of course, but after copperbadge got hacked I decided that maybe now was the time. (It even saves comments!)

Am v. busy, but the sun is SHINING today, which makes everything better. :)

It's not as shiny as the one on the show, but it is all mine and I feel like jumping an awful lot...

Went round the shops and bought almost all our Christmas presents tonight, which of course entailed a trip to Toy'r'Us, where there is a HUGE Doctor Who display - giant, giant Doctor and Master cardboard cut-outs preside over all the toys (the image from the cover of the special box set), and there's music and snippets of dialogue from the show and I might just have stood there far too long, kinda drowning in teh pretty. Mmmmm.

Little Miss M wanted a sonic screwdriver (comes with psychic paper you see), and Darcy asked why on earth she didn't want the laser one... which led to me saying that if only I could think of a single reason that I could have one, I'd so get one asap. At which point there came the 'Well it's Christmas' and 'So you're a demented fangirl, but I might as well keep you happy!' *does the happy dance* Oh and then - trying to find some figures for Impish Girl (no Capt Jacks except in a HUGE boxset and no Marthas except in a 'Utopia' set, and we don't need another Doctor, Prof Yana etc) I discovered what might very well have been the last Master figure in the whole shop! Tonight is a GOOD evening! :D

We are omg poor now, though. But I have a laser screwdriver so it doesn't matter!

And it is soon Christmas and we'll get 'Voyage of the Damned' and then Torchwood returns with JM and Squee! (I adore Torchwood and feel very protective towards it. Not sure how that works...)

OK, have just finished first draft of part 2 of AYW+1 (just over 4000 words) and it's (mostly) terrible. But it's a start...

Thought you might like to know, and also wanted to make myself feel a little accomplished. Wish me lots of time...

Just a quick note for anyone wondering when part 2 of 'As You Were + One' will be done... Basically I've no idea. RL is kicking my ass, so it might very well be 3 weeks or so before I am able to finish it. Sorry.

You would not *believe* how awkward it is to get Angel to jump into bed with Buffy and Spike!

My flist is made of awesome! Remember my request yesterday? Lots of clever people outdid themselves to help me! So now I have a new layout with the funniest banner I have ever seen. Just looking at Angel's face cracks me up. And knowing that this is his *actual* expression for being caught with his pants down? Priceless. I'm telling you, this fic is writing itself. :D

Oh and does anyone know of a *hot* S/B/A icon/manip? Nothing graphic, but something other than 'Lovers Walk' or S8 ones. I'd like that.

Due to the whole beverage-that-shall-not-be-named stuff on LJ I decided to finally try to make this place a little nicer. Although choosing a layout was a bitch since IJ does not have Component!!! I am bereft and lost I tells ya! This is one will have to do I guess, esp since I can't put up a banner (which you can on GJ *just like that*. Two strikes against IJ!)

Also friended back a whole bunch of people! *waves* Still... I don't like this place. It's ugly, there are adverts and everything is like LJ, but just not as good. Meh. Why did LJ have to go and sell out? *pouts*

Feeling all off at the moment. And shipping Harry/Lucy v. v. much. There will be fic. At some point. Because I absolutely don't have enough on my plate what with my slowmoving WIP and the seasonal_spuffy fic I'll have to write sooner or later, not to mention the sequels to Cavemen and my Spawn fic. And the summer holidays are nearly upon us! Oh joy! *hits head on desk repeatedly* At least BBC is repeating S3 of DW on a nightly basis, so I finally have something shiny on video. This is good.
